We all want to make money, and we all would prefer to make money online, unless you absolutely love your offline job, and a lot of people do. But for those of us who have had the World Wide Web cast it's spell on us, we would prefer to make all or a portion of our money online. On this page, we will explore the various ways of making money and/or creating a business online. You can start an online business or you can turk your way around from data entry, survey, and reward sites, to becoming an eBay tycoon ... it's up to you how your adventure awaits.

The first thing you need to wrap your head around is ... anything you do online where you are promoting something you've created, or reselling something at a profit, or getting paid for a talent or freelancing, is your own business ... literally ... you are in business and are most likely to be under the auspices of the IRS. So, keep records suitable for an accountant to look at. When you sell items on eBay for example, you're in business. When you create a hand-made item and sell it on Etsy, you're in business. When you create a website to dropship items, you're in business. If you're a freelancer on sighed up on a site like Fiver or Upwork, in business. And with any of these businesses, I highly recommend you find a good CPA or accounting software. An attorney may not be a bad idea either. Another stipulation would be to get whatever business license or permits required by your local or state authorities.

Now on the other hand, there are sites like Amazon Mechanical Turk, Microworkers, and Clickworker, where you perform task such as data entry, answering surveys, and transcription, usually for daily pay.
